Photo Story Ideas

If you're having trouble deciding what to do for your photo story, check out some local event listings for ideas:

Philadelphia Weekly

Some other ideas:
1. September 11 is on Friday. Find a local memorial and take pictures of any services/events surrounding that spot.

2. The Phillies are at home this week. If you have tickets, take pictures of your experience at the game. If you don't have tickets, try doing a photo story on tailgaters, which always proves to be interesting.

3. If you're into a particular music scene, bring your camera to a show and document the types of people that go there and what goes on at a concert.

4. If you're interning somewhere, do a photo story on your internship. If you work somewhere, do a photo story on your job.

5. Pick a street and take your camera with you for 5 - 10 blocks, taking pictures along the way. It's interesting what you can find on each block.

6. Do a photo story on your family.

7. If you live outside the city, try doing a photo story that compares your life in the city versus your life in the suburbs.

8. If you feel passionately about an issue, i.e. the environment, gay rights, religion, etc., find a way to show how you feel about that issue and turn your photo story into an argument.

Again, I am very open to ideas. Find something you enjoy, take pictures, and have fun!
